Vehicle verification processes differ across Pakistan’s provinces. Each province sets its taxes and has its system for registering and renewing vehicle registrations.
However, a centralized system exists: The Federal Excise Department maintains the Motor Transport Information Management System (MTMIS). This online system provides access to a wealth of vehicle registration information, including:
- Registration Status
- Owner details (if publicly available)
- Vehicle specifications (colour, engine number, year of manufacture)
